Day 13 of 24 days of beauty advent posts-Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner

Day 13 is Eyeko London Skinny Liquid Eyeliner.

Like red lipstick, I have been scared of liquid eyeliner for most of my make up wearing life. This fear hasn't been helped by now having middle age related crepey eye lids. This means when I try to have a steady hand and apply eye liner, I end up applying what I think is close to the lash line but then when I open my lids, there is a very obvious gap. Because of the crepey lid. Goddamit.

The one time I had a make up artist apply liquid eye liner to my lids, I was blown away by how it opened my eyes up and made me look.. just so much better. The make up artist recommended that I try with a pot of gel liner and a lining brush. I've tried that but without much success.

So this liquid eye liner from Eyeko with it's super skinny brush is perfect for not only getting a precise line right on my lash line but also the felt tip consistency means a smooth line. On the rare occasions I wear eye liner, I like it to be subtle. I want eye liner to make my lashes appear thicker and to open up my eye and this gives me that look. If you have a dab and steady hand at creating a cat flick, you'll also like the consistency of this liner. The precise tip then tapers to a thicker end, which can create a bolder look.

And to stop any transfer of the liner to your upper lid, apply a small amount of black eye shadow powder, with a tiny brush, over the liner to set it in place. As you would set your foundation with powder.

Eyeko Skinny liner is available from M&S for £16.00.
