My Statement T Shirt Picks

Topshop 1972 T-shirt
Topshop 1972 T-shirt
My definition of a statement T-shirt is one that is more than just a plain t-shirt. So think slogan, distressed, ruffles, embellishments. The statement T is easy to wear with jeans, skirts and shorts and because it's a bit more special than a normal plain T, you can wear it out out, to advertise your opinion or embrace the latest trends (without spending too much!). A statement T is your purse friendly/two weeks till payday fashion treat.

I've got two new statement Ts and two that I've been loving for a few weeks now.

Topshop 1972 T - £15.00 (pictured above)
I love the crisp white and the bold red numbering of this T. It looks fresh and stand out worn with a pair of dark wash jeans and would look immense with a pair of red jeans. I feel totally justified wearing this T as it's two years after my birth year!

River Island Frill T-shirt

This cute grey T, with the blue and white striped frills is pretty and looks great with a denim skirt. I wear this with just part of the front hem tucked in to a waist band. The frill sleeves add a girly element to what would otherwise be a normal grey top. £22.00 from River Island.

Zara Dinosaur T-shirt

£12.99 from Zara, the applique dinosaur is just not what you would expect to see on a T but it looks so good. This T washes well and none of the embellishments have come off.

Again I love the red against the grey and I'm all over the slogan on this top. £15.00.

Statement T shirts that are on my wish list:

Topshop choker neck (£12.00). This is a super soft, perfect length T with just a subtle rip to the neck band to give a slight choker effect.
Topshop Never look back T by Tee & Cake (£22.00). Another top with the ripped neck band.

Strong Girls Tee from Muthahoodgoods.com (£22.00).  The message says it all.
Help Refugees Choose Love T (£19.00 from Asos).
Bershka Gingham Bandeau Overlay T (Asos £17.99)
And although I don't really like bananas, I do love the colour and frills on this Pull & Bear T from Asos £17.99.
What's not to love about a statement T-shirt?
xx
