Four from Mac-old and new favourites

I've written before about my irritation at never being served or paid any attention when going in to any Mac stores anywhere, and I've literally tried all over the world. The only places that I seem to be able to get any service are at airports (but not in the UK!). But a small miracle happened just last weekend. Myself and my daughter went for a shopping trip to Cabots Circus in Bristol and I decided to try the Mac concession in Debenhams. As we walked in, and we could already see it was busy, my daughter decided to time how long it would take for us to get any assistance. And it was less than 1 minute and we were approached by one of the many sales assistants, who was very patient whilst I tried to remember the name of a lipstick I was looking for.

I was after Velvet Teddy. Almost 99% of my beauty purchases are enabled by YouTube or Instagram, and after my recent purchase of Mac Mehr Lipstick, which I absolutely adore, I was keen to give Velvet Teddy a go.
Mac Velvet Teddy

Velvet Teddy is a matte deep tone beige and is a perfect nude ("your lips but better") shade. Although its a matte, it's creamy so not at all drying and glides on smoothly without any dragging.
£16.50.

As I was waiting for the daughter to pay for another red lipstick she had bought (I have yet to meet anyone who can rock a red lip like she can), out of the corner of my eye something caught my eye. I didn't know what it was and in the pan, you could easily not give it a second glance but luckily for me (and you?), I swatched the powder and then a chorus of angels started singing in my ear..
Extra Dimension Skinfinish

Look at this..

(insert love heart eyed emoji here)
This is a highlighter, obviously. And is probably the most beautiful highlighter I have ever seen. It's like swiping your finger across liquid gold.
The Extra Dimension Skinfinish liquid powder comes in 7 shades and I picked up Superb - a "pating bronze". I assume this is Mac's instruction to pat it on gently. Sod that, get your brush or finger and load this baby up!
I always think if you're going to wear highlighter, wear it. I want to see full on glow. If I wanted subtle, I'd be content with my middle age mid afternoon hot flush shining through!
£24.50 (but it's a big 9g pan).

And then two old favourites from Mac that I also wanted to tell you about are the one and only (for me) Mineralize Skinfinish face powder and Prep & Prime.
Mac Prep+Prime
Mac Prep+Prime
Mac Prep+Prime Natural Radiance is a primer which is perfect for oily and combination skin. It comes in 2 bases - Radiant Yellow (the one I have) and Radiant Pink, depending on whether you have a yellow or pink undertone to your skin.
This primer hydrates and primes and helps to control oil and gives a smoother texture. The radiance in the primer gives a glow to skin.
I stopped using this for quite a while, and this was only because I was trying out other primers. But I'm back on this again and will continue to use it up as it leaves my skin really soft and smooth pre make up application.
£30.
Mineralize Skinfinish
Mac Mineralize Skinfinish Natural
This is my 3rd Mac Mineralize Skinfinish Natural. Because, frankly, as much as I try other face powders, none compare to the look and feel you get from this one. It sets your make up, takes away shine and leaves a non powdery, natural looking finish.
I have the shade Medium Golden. I also accidentally bought Medium Deep, which is really nice used as a bronzer.

So now I've found a Mac that will serve me, let me know if you have any favourites from Mac that I can add to my wish list.
