A bargain Zara oufit

 Zara
For a long time I didn't like Zara. Their clothes were either over priced or weirdly sized - all their trousers were made for 6ft 5 models. But then I started seeing some really nice and affordable pieces online and I now visit the website at least once a week to check out the 'New In' and 'Special Prices' sections. And, for the most part, I've found that everything I've bought from Zara is well made, using quality materials and I just love that the styling is always just that bit different and a bit quirky.

I do tend to avoid in store shopping though as every store I've been in to insists on only ever having one really grumpy looking sales assistant on the till, whilst a queue of at least 25 customers patiently wait to be served..

So last Thursday night I did a bit of online shopping at Zara and picked up a couple of sale bargains and a brilliantly priced jacket. My order arrived two days later and I wanted to show you asap. And it's because of my haste that I have to apologise for the really shit quality of the photos. I'm trying a new setting on my camera, and I need more practice! (I've included links to the website so you can see what they're meant to look like).
Zara Faux Suede Blazer

Although this wasn't in the mid season sale, at £29.99 it was too much of a bargain not to pass up. I think this is a perfect jacket for spring and in this soft pink shade, it will go with any colour outfit. Although it's faux suede, it's really soft and comfortable to wear. This is a size small as I find Zara sizing does come up a bit bigger. Here's the link

Zara Poplin Top

Shocking photo of this box shaped, frill detail top. Because of it's boxy shape, I would wear this with skinny jeans or a slim leg trouser. I'm thinking this would be a great top for work, worn with bright pink cigarette trousers that I'm sure Topshop have got in at the moment. Please do check out the proper photo here. This top is £12.99 in the sale (originally £25.99).
Zara Relaxed Fit Jeans

This photo will make your eyes go do-lally as it's so out of focus (so sorry, will do better next time). I picked these up for £14.99 (originally £29.99) as I'm favouring a relaxed fit jean more than the uncomfortably chaffing all day skinny. I really like the dark rinse and rips on these. They are a slightly funny length, in that they are too long to be cropped but not long enough to be long! So I've turned them up here and I am thinking about cutting them to make them more ankle grazer length but if I get it wrong, these will be my ninth pair of jeans I've ruined by cutting them! Link here.

So that's a whole Zara outfit for £57.97, and free delivery as the spend was over £50! I have to say I wouldn't wear this together as an outfit - the jeans need to be worn with a slimmer fitting top, the top with slimmer fitting bottoms and the jacket, well I think that will go with anything but you get my drift.

  1. The jeans look so good on you! I usually only ever where skinny since I feel like other styles never fit but these look way more comfy!
