There surely isn't anyone in the world that isn't partial to a bit of gingham. This simple check has been in and out of fashion for as long as I can remember. And for me I love gingham because it reminds me of my summer school uniform of a light blue gingham dress. I loved that dress, I didn't care that it was actually uniform. Maybe it's because wearing the summer uniform gingham dress signaled the start of proper summer days and a summer that really did last from June until September.
Gingham is back in again and I, for one, am rejoicing. Although it has to be said I always have a bit of gingham in my wardrobe, like eye shadow palettes, I cannot walk past gingham without going back and checking it out.
This week I added to my gingham pieces with this Primark peplum cotton shirt.

You might have seen this Zara top as featured in my Birthday Haul post and I still love it so much and it ticks the gingham and embroidered trends. Sadly, this is no longer available on the Zara site but if you're after a gingham shirt with embroidered flowers, try THIS.
