IT Cosmetics Complexion Perfection Collection

I thought I was a full coverage foundation girl through and through, and tend to veer away from BB and CC creams. However, I had heard good things about the IT Cosmetics CC cream and when I was alerted that QVC would be doing a TSV (Today's Special Value) featuring an IT Cosmetics set, I actually set a reminder on my phone!

Always one to try a new brand the IT Cosmetics Complexion Perfection Collection 4 piece set was too good an offer to pass up. Not only does it include the, normally difficult to get hold of in the UK, CC cream, you also get the Bye Bye under eye concealer, Bye Bye pores pressed powder and a double ended brush for applying the CC cream and concealer.

Now I have to say this CC cream is proper full coverage. I mean proper. Full. I've come up with (what I believe to be an ingenious!) Pumpappulator. Pump, application, calculator.

Charlotte Tilbury Magic foundation - 2 pumps
Make Up Forever HD foundation - 3 pumps
IT Cosmetics CC cream - 1 pump!

I have quite a lot of pigmentation, which is made up of freckles, moles, age and sun spots. But they are me, that's my skin and whilst I wish I'd protected my skin better in my youth - this pigmentation shows my life to date and that I've had some fantastic holidays and days in good weather. I don't really want to completely mask this pigmentation.
If you do - this CC cream is for you, because it really does cover everything. I'm afraid it's too full coverage for me, and I never thought I'd say that.
It is lovely though with a creamy consistency that blends well. I opted for the medium shade, which I thought was a good match. Although I have to say on the first day I wore it my boss said I looked "absolutely awful" but he went to the same school of charm as Trump so... and also I had applied 3 pumps.

I just can't get on with this. And the reason - I can't get the bloody stuff out of the tube! This cream is very dense, not at all a creamy cream. I had to really massage and squeeze very hard (I'm well aware of how that sounds, apologies!) the tube to get the tiniest amount of concealer to come out. Not that you need a lot at all. This concealer again is high coverage and very brightening. But again for me was too thick a consistency - throughout the day I could still feel the thickness of the concealer under my eyes. But if you don't mind that and want real coverage for dark under eyes - this is the kiddie.

Although this powder looks worryingly white in the pan, it does apply completely translucent and leaves no white caste. This was my favourite item from the collection, as it did keep shine at bay and really help to disguise my open pores. And comes in a good sized case with sponge applicator, so great for travel/your bag.
IT Cosmetics Dual Ended Brush

I know a dual ended brush saves space. It's two brushes in one, blah blah blah. But seriously if you store your brushes in a pot, then one end is going to be in the smeggy end. One end is going to suffer.
That said both ends of this brush are really soft and you can feel the quality.

I really really wanted to fall in love with the set. I wanted the CC cream to be a game changer for me. Sadly neither it or the under eye concealer are for me but only because I've realised I don't need or rather like the full coverage base I thought I did.
And the brilliant thing is as this is from QVC, I can send it back for a full refund (within 30 days).

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
