All aboard the Street Style Bus

street style bus
Who doesn't want some fashion and make up tips and tutorials? And whilst these can be readily found in magazines and on You Tube, it's always better in real life isn't it. To be able to speak to experts with your own specific questions and get some style secrets which will suit you. So when I heard about the Street Style Bus coming to my local out of town retail park, Orbital in Swindon, I had to pop along to see what this was all about.

The Street Style Bus is exactly that - an old fashioned Routemaster bus packed full of fashion and free beauty treatments. On the ground floor was a great hand-picked selection of fashion from some of the retailers in the Orbital park - Outfit, which included Topshop, Dorothy Perkins, Topman, M&S and Next. Upstairs you could get a free beauty treatment - braids (I got a side french braid), nails painted or your make up done. All free.
As well as the bus, outside and under cover, there were half hourly tutorials from a celebrity make up artist Stacey Lincoln, who gave really informative talks on how to apply eye shadow, contouring and highlighting.

TV fashion expert JP Hevey was also on hand talking through the key trends and styles for this autumn/winter. What I loved about JP's talks was that he talked about the latest catwalk and fashion show trends but gave high street examples of how we too can rock them (for example some metallic pieces) without looking ridiculous and in an affordable way.
The Street Style Bus is touring the UK and will also be visiting:

Broughton, Chester
New Mersey, Speke
Teeside, Stockton-on-Tees
Wheatley, Doncaster
Mayflower, Basildon
Nugent, Orpington

Keep an eye out for the red double decker bus and jump on board for some free style tips and make overs. Check out #streetstylebus on Twitter.
