August Glossybox

glossybox august 2016
Glossybox is five years old, so this month's box is a collector's edition in collaboration with Rae Feather - a luxury accessory brand (you may have seen people on Instagram showing off their personalised monogrammed straw bags - not quite sure when a Sainsbury's carrier wasn't good enough for the beach and we got persuaded to spend £150 on a beach bag?).

I was lucky and responded to the email to pick what shade of MUA eye shadow palette I wanted and so I have Heaven & Earth. This is a great usable nudey/bronzey selection of twelve shimmery shades. I like MUA and even though they are super cheap (this palette is £4.00) they are fairly pigmented and blend well.

Spa to You Deep Pore Cleansing Facial Brush and Massager
I've had a brush like this before and even though I imagine an electric or battery powered facial cleansing brush would be more effective, this is going to be a great little addition to my cleansing routine.

Mudmasky Facial Detox Purifying Recovery Mask
I'm looking forward to using this. It's an all natural mask which is meant to detoxify the skin, refine and tighten pores and generally give skin a boost. I need this after consuming a Cadbury's Buttons ice cream AND a bar of Whole Nut for the past two nights, whilst watching the Olympics! Energy snacks.

Cowshed Wild Cow Invigorating Body Lotion
I think people either love or hate the smell of this body lotion. I love its sharp, invigorating scent. I find it uplifting, especially after a morning shower. The lotion is really creamy and sinks in quickly. I like these mini/travel sizes - I just wish I had more travels than travel products!

Rae Feather Mini Monogram Pochette
What's a Pochette? Anyway I would say this is a small make up bag. But for me this is a fail. Who wants a cream cotton make up bag? This will get dirty very quickly. It does have a wipeable lining but that's not going to stop the outside getting grubby in your handbag.
Also I get that the GB is for Glossybox but how does that apply to me. Unless I change my name to Gisele Bundchen, it feels wrong having a monogrammed pochette with someone else's initials on.

But that was the only miss for me in this month's box. And a sneak peek for September's box is the Too Faced Better than Sex mascara. Everyone and their dog has talked about this - another love it or hate it, so I can't wait to try it for myself.

You can subscribe to Glossybox by clicking HERE. And if you sign up for August's Glossybox-put the code "AUGGIFTBOXES" at the checkout and you'll also get three extra products, as well as this box, for £20.00. (the above link and offer is via an affiliate link).
