Kevyn Aucoin Eyelash Curlers

I first heard of Kevyn Aucoin because everyone seemed to have his Sculpting Powder but it seemed a bit steep to pay £35.00 for one powder, especially if, like me, you don't even know how to "sculpt". So when I was in the market for some new eyelash curlers, and I saw that Kevyn Aucoin did them, I was intrigued.

I started using eyelash curlers a year or so ago and now use them every day, they are just part of my make up routine. The difference a good pair of curlers makes is crazy. By curling your lashes before applying mascara, you have primed your lashes into their ultimate position - curled and uplifted. And then when you apply your mascara, this holds the lift in place.

So I've been on a eyelash curler journey. I started with a very cheap pair from Primark. They were ok. Just. Then I moved on to a £12.00 pair from Kiko. These have lasted me ages and have been really good. But then I wanted to graduate on to some serious grown up curlers. I've had my eye (no pun intended!) on the Shu Uemura curlers since last Christmas, and I did put them on my Christmas list but no one took the hint. And then I read some really great reviews about the Aucoin curlers on Beauty Bay.com and after seeing another impressed review on Instagram by a lovely blogger I met at the 30-40 Blogger Meet I attended - Melissa Jane Lee I ordered myself a pair.

These curlers are nice to hold, have a comfortable weight to them and grip and curl lashes gently. If you haven't used curlers before, don't be scared. The trick is to just take it slowly - with your eyes open gently close the curler "jaws" over your top lashes. Do this slowly at first just in case you go too close to the lash line, once you have a good grip then you can either gently open and close the curlers with the lashes still in between or you can just hold the curlers in place for a few seconds. And then apply mascara.

These eyelash curlers really open up your eyes and at only £17.00 for quality stainless steel curlers, which also come with a spare grip pad.. your lashes will thank you.

xx

    1. Thanks for your comment Emma. It surprises me how affordable these are for the quality, and to also get a spare pad means they'll twice as long.

  2. The spare pad is a great idea. I've lost the pad to my current eyelash curlers and kind of gave up using them. Definitely something to add to my Christmas list (although I am tempted to invest before then!).

    1. I've put the spare pad somewhere safe but I bet I forget where that is when I need to replace it! Haha. Thanks for your comment.

  3. I must own up to having a dusty pair somewhere, never seemed to get on with them, maybe I need to dig them out, dust them off & have another try!
