Two highlighting and illuminating products from Sleek

sleek precious metals highlighter palette
Superdrug have currently got a 2 for £10 on selected Sleek items. I'd been meaning to get their Highlighting Palette, so the timing of this offer was great.

Sleek have three different Highlighter Palettes - Precious Metals, Solstice and Midas Touch. After much deliberation, I opted for Precious Metals as I felt the gold tones would suit my medium skin tone better.

All three of these palettes are £9.99 and in the Precious Metals you get three cream highlighters and one powder highlighter. All of these can be used on the face (including as an eye shadow) and on the body - great to highlight your shoulders or collar bone when you have a tan.

The swatched shades above are:

  • fore finger - Antique Bronze powder
  • middle finger - Renaissance Gold
  • ring finger - Royal Gold
  • pinky - Platinum
The creams are easy to apply and blend in well. My favourite is the powder highlighter in Antique Bronze, this looks lovely on the top of the cheek bone.
When first applied, the highlighting particles seem to be too large but they do blend out to give a subtle glow. This palette will be great for holiday nights, when you don't want to wear too much make up base but you do want to highlight your healthy glow.

The other item I picked up was the Sleek Barekissed Illuminator. At £8.99, you can see what a great offer the two for £10.00 is. I picked up the Illuminator in shade Cuba. There are three other shades - Monaco, Pompeii and Casablanca.

The shade Cuba is a slightly iridescent pink toned cream. You can apply this to your face either on its own, under foundation or mixed in with your base. (This is what I like to do to turn my matt base into something more glowy).

I love the idea of this Illuminator but unfortunately, for me, this shade is too pink and does "redden" my face more than illuminate it. But I will try swatching the other shades before I buy because this cream does give a nice glow and radiance to your skin.

What a great offer from Sleek, and Superdrug.
