Pixi Colour Correcting Concealer

pixi colour correcting concealer
I was so excited when I found out that Pixi were doing a 1 hour show on QVC recently. I tuned in especially but I'm afraid to say I was quite under-whelmed. Because I'd made the effort to watch, I felt I should order something. So I put in my order for the Pixi Colour Correcting Concealer.

I was almost out of my beloved Maybelline Instant Anti-age eye eraser and as colour correcting is all the rage, I thought this would be a safe bet. I was wrong.

As this is my first ever colour corrector, I don't know if the thick, dense consistency is normal? But if it is, it's not for me. I don't like it. The "trick" is to dab this cream on using your ring finger and the warmth from your finger should help to soften/melt it on to your under eye area. This concealer comes with a brush to blend the cream in. The brush is really nice but I would have used this as a smudger brush for eye-lining.

The concealer is very thick and even after I blended this in, it just kind of sat there. Close up I could see that it left my under eye area cakey and it looked like I had concealer on.

This colour corrector is a peach colour, to erase dark under eye circles. But I just didn't feel it did a good enough job, and my dark circles are not too bad. It didn't leave my under eyes as brightened and concealed as the Maybelline (which I previously posted about here).

The good thing with ordering from QVC is that you have a 30 day money back guarantee, so I've been able to send this back for a refund. The concealer and brush is £14.00 from QVC UK.

I'm having a bad run lately of not so good beauty buys. Lets hope the tide will turn back again very soon.

  1. What a shame you didn't like this, it's good you could send it back though. I use the Bobbi Brown corrector and I really like it, it doesn't settle into fine lines or cake and although it feels thicker than my concealer if I apply it with my ring finger and then blend in with my beauty blender it's fine :) xxx

    1. Oh I really want to try Bobbi Brown. I've got nothing from her. Is there anything else you would recommend from BB? Thanks for your comment Zoe. Xx
