3ina - have you tried this exciting new beauty range?

3ina (pronounced Mina) arrived in Covent Garden in February this year, a few doors down from Charlotte Tilbury's Beauty Boudoir. I mean that takes some balls yea? To take up the same small prestigious retail street in what is now known as the beauty quarter, next to the iconic and high end Charlotte T? Who would have the nerve to compete with the great CT?

3ina is the brainchild of two retail guru chaps that used to work in New Look and have been working on this new concept for the past 2 years. So what is their concept - to turn around the latest beauty trends in super fast time so that we, the consumer, can have access to trends as they're happening. And you might well think ok, this sounds like a make up range for the very young, and granted when you walk in to the slick store it is like stepping inside a rainbow. A HD rainbow.

But don't be put off by the explosion of colours, there are more than enough hues to suit all ages, and the staff are really friendly and helpful. 3ina is really affordable but feels and applies like a much more expensive range. So here's what I picked up:

I was tempted by two highlighters, a peach and a gold toned one. I was buying this for my daughter who loves highlighter, so I went for the gold toned as this has more of a POW! (£10.95).

Essential Lipstick
Obviously I had to pick up a nude lipstick as standard. A nude lipstick is my measure when I'm trying out a new brand. I do the same when I eat out, I always go for the lasagne!
This creamy lipstick is really pigmented and has good staying power. This is shade 105. (£4.95).

I actually got this free as 3ina had a promotion where if you spent £20.00, you get a free gloss. (Would normally be £7.95, shade 111). I wouldn't normally pick up a lipgloss but I really like this one, it applies well and is more pigmented than the glosses I have used before.

Nail Polish
The last thing I picked up was a nail polish in shade 106, a dusky pink. (£4.95). I haven't had chance to apply this yet so can't comment on the longevity of it but the colour is a nice nude that looks like you've given your nails a good buff and shine.

Keep an eye out because I think you'll be seeing 3ina stores launching all over the UK soon. And that can only be a good thing.

  1. The colour of the nail polish is so nice and I would love this in every type of makeup product available!
